Breast Imaging
Breast cancer is all too common with approximately 250,000 new cases in the United States every year. While therapeutic improvements have prolonged survival of advanced stage breast cancer, the goal of screening breast imaging is to find the tumors when they are small and contained locally. Thankfully, with the current generation of technology including: 3-D mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI we are now better equipped than ever to find early curable cancers.

Mammography is a specific type of breast imaging that uses low-dose x-rays to detect cancer early – before women experience symptoms – when it is most treatable.
